Meet Addison

Addison McDowell was raised in Davidson County. In a Christian family where church was always a priority, Addison learned conservative North Carolina values from an early age.  Thanks in part to a Baptist scholarship, Addison graduated from UNC Charlotte where he met his wife, Rachel, through the YoungLife Ministry. After graduating, he went on to work for Congressman (now US Senator) Ted Budd as a Constituent Liaison.

Addison was first elected to Congress in 2024 and is running for re-election to fight for hardworking North Carolina families and the America First Agenda.

Fighting for North Carolina Families

We must secure the Southern Border and stop the flow of illegal drugs from flooding into our country. This isn’t just a talking point for me, it’s personal. My younger brother died of a fentanyl overdose & I am committed to turn that loss into a solution so that no family ever has to experience the pain that my family did.

North Carolinians have all seen how a community can be decimated by the free-trade agenda pushed by previous Presidents, Democrat and Republican alike. That’s why I support President Trump’s America First Agenda that protects and promotes American jobs.

I believe that the right to self-defense is a God-given, constitutional right of every law-abiding American. As an avid hunter and gun enthusiast, I will fight government overreach that aims to disrupt North Carolinians’ 2nd Amendment rights.
