Addison McDowell Will Be The Next Congressman For The 6th District Of North Carolina
Mark Walker Concedes to McDowell And Will NOT File For A Runoff
McDowell went from Political Unknown to Winning Candidate in Less than Three Months

(Arcadia) – Addison McDowell will be the next Congressman from the 6th District of North Carolina. McDowell was the top vote-getter on Primary Night, last Tuesday. Per NC law, Mark Walker had the ability to request a runoff primary election. However, tonight, Walker conceded the election to McDowell and said he will not request a runoff. Since the NC Democrat Party spectacularly failed to recruit a candidate for this seat, McDowell will be the next Member of Congress to represent North Carolina’s 6th Congressional District. In less than three months, McDowell went from filing for office as an unknown, first-time candidate to being the next Congressman.
“I would like to commend Mark Walker for his passion for public service,” said McDowell. “I might be the younger of the two of us, but Mark Walker is the higher energy candidate. I’ve no doubt what feeds that energy is his passion for service. He ran a tough race and made me have to be a better candidate to win this thing. I don’t know what his future holds, but I have faith God has a great plan for Mark.”
“And of course, thank you to President Donald J. Trump for believing in me!” McDowell continued. “I can’t wait to work in Congress to help him secure our Southern border and fight for the America First Agenda that protects and promotes American jobs as the top priority. Thank you also to Ted and Amy Kate Budd. Ted is the one who introduced me to President Trump in 2016. But more importantly, Ted Budd is the man who helped mentor me and let me see first-hand how a Congressman works to put his constituents as the top priority. Ted and Amy Kate are good friends and great mentors for Rachel and me.”
“Last but not least, thank you to my wonderful wife for supporting me during this campaign,” McDowell concluded. “You’re my best friend, my partner, a great wife, and a great mom and I can’t wait to have you and our family by my side when I am sworn into office in January.”
