McDowell Pledges to Pursue an America First Agenda and Help Secure the Southern Border

Addison McDowell today announced his candidacy for US Congress, seeking the Republican nomination in North Carolina’s 6th Congressional District. President Donald J. Trump endorsed McDowell tonight at an event in Mar-A-Lago noting the McDowell family’s long-time roots in Davidson County and how important it would be to have a strong voice in Congress to support efforts to stop the violent crime and drugs coming across our Southern border due to Joe Biden’s failures to do so.
“Today I am announcing my candidacy for Congress for the Sixth Congressional District, my home,” said McDowell. “President Trump needs a fighter who is going to stand with him in his efforts to secure our Southern border and stop the flow of illegal drugs and I’m the right man for the job. We lost our brother seven years ago to fentanyl overdose and it still hurts like it was yesterday. I don’t want anyone to have to endure that heartache and I can’t wait to get to Congress to help Ted Budd and President Trump make sure our border patrol and law enforcement officers get the support they need and deserve.”
